In a major to jolt to Aam Aadmi Party, its senior leader Ashutosh quit the party on Wednesday. This comes after Ashutosh, who has been the right hand of the party has been in the back seat and could be seen missing at major party events.
As per the sources, the resignation has been handed over to party supremo Arvind Kejriwal a few days ago.
The sources also tell that the leader was upset from not being consulted at major events by the party and also for not being given Rajya Sabha ticket by the party. As per sources, he first slammed the party for sidelining him and thereafter handover his resignation to the party.
Every journey has an end. My association with AAP which was beautiful/revolutionary has also an end.I have resigned from the PARTY/requested PAC to accept the same. It is purely from a very very personal reason. Thanks to party/all of them who supported me Throughout.Thanks.

He contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Chandni Chowk against Kapil Sibal of Congress and Harsh Vardhan of the BJP. He won more votes than Kapil Sibal of the Congress but lost to Dr. Harsh Vardhan of the BJP.
